Lovina Bergey (1840-1897) Lovina Bergey was born in Bergeytown, later called Hespeler (now Cambridge), Ontario, Canada, on August 31, 1840. Her parents, Elias and Salome (Bear) Bergey, were Mennonites whose families had moved to Ontario from Pennsylvania. In Abt. 1865, Lovina married Angus McDonald in Hespeler, and the pair moved to Michigan where they raised a family of seven. Their children were:

growing up. Lovina died in Traverse City on August 15, 1897, and was buried in the Maple
