Bessie May Tompkins, my great-grandmother, was born on May 22, 1898 in Jennings, Michigan, to Nancy Ann (Mavis) and Elisher Fields Tompkins.

In Abt. 1917, she married Harry Cupp MacDonald in Cadillac, Michigan, where two of their children still live.
