I would like to thank you for the hard work that you have provided over the
years and especially the efforts that have gone into the evolution of the
site. You have had a part in changing the mindset of Library Career/Human
Resource Planning and Recruiting. I have been in this field for over 20
years and have witnessed this growth. You have enabled members of this field
to become regional and national in perspective and in doing so the Library
field has achieved a slow but increasing parity in relation to other
disciplines. In addition, you have assisted in improving the quality of
Library Services nationwide by furthering the cross-pollination of people in
the field from one coast to another. I will continue to use these valuable
resources.

I've been visiting your site for a few years now, as long as I've been a
library paraprofessional. I have yet to decide if I will continue my
education and get an MLS, but I check the site to see that folks are hiring
out there and what sorts of positions are available. I have also introduced
my coworkers, many of whom are MLS students, to your site so that they can
be thinking ahead to the time when they have their credentials and may be
looking for a job outside of Alexandria, VA. Thanks. Keep up the good
work.

I use this site to see what jobs are currently being offered in the
different regions of the country. It's an easy way to see what positions
are available and the salary and benefits offered. The search by region
function is the best, as I can eliminate areas that I would never consider
going to. Thank you for offering this great service. As a current MLIS
student, your site saves me a lot of time.

Congratulations on the 10th anniversary of your Library Job Postings site!
I must have been in the first wave of users since I graduated with my MLIS
in December 1995. I recall writing to let you know of some broken links . .
. and you said something about forgetting about the site (probably because
you had a new job!) - and you updated it right away.
It took me nearly a year of searching to find my first
professional position -- it turned out to be local (and not posted to boards
I had seen) and I learned about it through a former classmate. Sometimes it
really is about networking. But I searched your site regularly during the 2
periods when I was actively seeking a professional position.
I've referred back to your site quite a bit in the last 9
years. While I haven't landed a job as a direct result of the postings on
your site, it does provide a valuable reference tool for keeping up with the
job market in various regions. I also use your site to stay aware of what
skills employers are seeking and the salaries offered. And one of these
days the "perfect" job will appear when I am in the "right" situation . . .
.
Thank you for providing such a great job search resource. As
an Archivist & Records Manager, I much appreciate the inclusion of my
profession along with other information professions.

Congrats on your anniversary! I have cruised your site several times over
the years either for the job search or just to see what is out there. I'm
applying to Ph.D. programs now so you will hopefully be seeing me in the
future looking for jobs that want a Ph.D. level information literacy
instructor!

Greetings!
I love your site, and first discovered it a few years back while I was
starting my MLS degree at the University of Denver. I've been able to keep
tabs on openings in my home state of Massachusetts, and also have used the
site for comparing salaries for positions in my new adopted home state of
Colorado. Please keep up the great work!
