Italy Hill Cemetery, Italy, NY
The Italy Hill Cemetery is better kept up than the Segar Cemetery was, fortunately.  If you're going east on the Italy Turnpike toward the town of Jerusalem, you'll find the cemetery on the right-hand side.  It's hard to miss.

Some of the Arnolds and their descendants were buried in this cemetery, but not all of the older stones are readable.  The stone to the right belongs to Eliza, wife of Amos Arnold, died age 67 yrs 11 months on March 23, 1862.  She was the daughter of Rufus Edson.

Amos Arnold is buried right next to her, but his stone had fallen over flat, face up, and is pretty much unreadable.

Above is the tombstone of Deany T. Arnold, the youngest of the thirteen children born to Eliza and Amos.  She is not mentioned in the Edson Family History and Genealogy.

Per the stone, she is listed as "daughter of Amos and Eliza Arnold, died age 1 year, 4 months, 15 days, on March 17, 1844."  Eliza was 48 years old when Deany was born.

Louisa Arnold, or Loiza as it's spelled here, was the eighth child of Amos and Eliza Arnold.  She died unmarried at age 20.  The tombstones of the Arnold family are all to the far right side of Italy Hlll Cemetery, coincidentally right next to where we parked the car.

On the left:  Phebe (Arnold) Wetherby, and on the right, another view of the same stone -- her husband Philip C. Wetherby.

Phebe was another daughter of Amos and Eliza Arnold.  From their tombstone, you might guess that their descendants were fairly well off!

Not sure how all of these people relate to each other?  See my GEDCOM File on Rootsweb.
